How much RAM does a Windrose server need?

8 GB is the minimum for a 2-player crew. 4 players need ~12 GB, full 8–10 player crews need 16 GB or more. World streaming and ship physics are heavy — don't undersize.

How many players can join a Windrose server?

Early access caps at around 10 players per crew. We provision capacity for that.

Is the Windrose dedicated server tool out?

Yes — Joom Capital ships the Windrose Dedicated Server as a free SteamCMD app (app id 4129620). It is anonymous-downloadable, no game licence required on the host. Our egg pulls and runs it automatically.

Does Windrose use NAT punch-through?

Yes, Windrose handles client connections via NAT punch-through, so port forwarding is largely abstracted from end-users. We expose a stable server port for the allocation framework and the dedicated server still listens on it.

How fast are patches deployed?

Within hours of Joom Capital's Steam push. The server runs through SteamCMD, so a restart pulls the latest build automatically.

Can I migrate a Windrose save from another host?

Yes. Save data is stored as files in the server directory. Pull them via FTP from your old host, upload through our SFTP panel, restart. Same workflow as any other survival game.
